Peter Andre on the challenges of 2025 and the family's plans for Christmas

- BY SHELLEY SPADONI

Like many families, Peter Andre, his wife Emily and their blended brood will spend Christmas reflecting on the year just gone.

There has been excitement and success - in particular Peter's daughter Princess, 18, launching a hit reality TV show, The Princess Diaries.

There have been the usual friendly household squabbles that every couple needs (“yes, we DO need to keep the freezer full of food”, says Emily).

But there has also been the “raw pain” of Peter's beloved mother, Thea, living with Parkinson's and dementia.

The Australian singer, 52, says: “I'm a grown man but I still can't accept in my heart that these things happen to the people I love the most.”.

Through everything, NHS doctor Emily, who married Peter 10 years ago, has been a constant presence.

"Emily has been my absolute rock through any tough times and the good," he says. "She's my partner in crime. We laugh so much."

Emily, 36, adds: "It's funny, Pete's name in Greek actually means rock. And he is literally my rock in every way."

Pete says: "Will we make it to 70 years of marriage like my mum and dad? Probably not, as I'm too old.

"But Emily's someone I could easily see myself being married to for 70 years.

"We might disagree about the thermostat, but we've never had a serious argument in 10 years.

"We're solid. When things feel negative and a bit harsh, you realise the love you've got."

The 70-year milestone is a poignant one - Thea, 89, and Pete's dad Savvas, 92, celebrated their platinum anniversary in September.
