Dad dies just months after losing his girl

A CLOSE-KNIT community is mourning a “devoted husband and dad” who faced unimaginable tragedy with “boundless positivity and kindness”.

Tommy Duggan, from Bekan in Claremorris, Co Mayo died suddenly earlier this month, after his daughter Saoirse lost a cancer battle last year.
The three-year-old passed away in June from leukaemia, months after she was made an honorary garda by the Little Blue Heroes foundation - a charity made up of Garda members and staff.
