SHELBOURNE ace Evan Caffrey took professional and personal satisfaction from the outcome of two big European games on Thursday night.

He made a stunning impact off the bench in the Reds 3-1 win over Linfield at Tolka Park, setting up Mipo Odubeko's goal before scoring one of his own.

Caffrey was a halftime replacement and wasted no time after assisting Odubeko in the box after only 30 seconds of the half.

But while Shels threatened to unravel after a Linfield fightback, Caffrey pounced with 13 minutes remaining.

And that goal has handed Joey O'Brien's men a precious two-goal advantage going to Windsor Park.
