The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) has announced plans to establish three additional driving test tracks at Dive Ghat near Saswad, Hadapsar, and Alandi Road to address the rising pressure on existing facilities and reduce the waiting period for licence applicants.

Amid rise in licence applicants, Pune RTO to set up 3 new driving test tracks at these locations

The new tracks will be in addition to the current automated facility at the Institute of Driving Training and Research (IDTR) near Nashik Phata.At present, those applying for two-wheeler licence must visit the Phulewadi RTO and applicants for four-wheeler and heavy vehicle licence need to visit the sensor-based testing tracks at IDTR. Learner's licence tests are conducted at the Sangamwadi RTO, and an online test option is also available from home.
