City of Fremont celebrates Affordable Housing Month with 560 New Units in 2025

In honor of Affordable Housing Month, the City of Fremont is celebrating the leasing of 560 new units of affordable housing in 2025 as a part of the City's ongoing efforts to expand affordable housing and support its residents in finding long-term stability.

To kick off the celebration, on Thursday, May 15, the City, in partnership with Abode Housing Development and Community of Christ, will host the grand opening of Fremont Family Apartments, located at 34320 Fremont Blvd. Built on repurposed land previously used for church parking, Fremont Family Apartments offers 54 units for low-income individuals and families, including those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Located just one block from Fremont's Northgate Park, Fremont Family Apartments includes recreation areas, a community room, on-site social services, an outdoor play structure, and easy access to public transportation and community services. The Gold GreenPoint Rated building features electric vehicle chargers, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, WaterSense plumbing fixtures, energy-efficient appliances, water-efficient landscaping, and high-efficiency lighting.
