DEFLATED Warrington Wolves head coach Sam Burgess says the best team lost after praising the efforts of his beaten side.

The Wolves saw victory snatched from their grasp in the dying minutes of the Challenge Cup final, Tom Davies scoring for the Super League leaders to level the scores after Josh Thewlis' first-half converted try and a Mikey Lewis penalty.
Warrington were marshalled superbly by Marc Sneyd, joining Sean Long by becoming the only other player to win the Lance Todd Trophy on three occasions.
The half-back was superb on a beaten team, and drew special raise from his head coach.
