NORTH Ferriby FC extended their unbeaten league run to five games after claiming a point in tough conditions at Gateway Park against Blyth Town in the Northern Premier League East Division.

Aside from another point gained, the Villagers continued their impressive defensive form in the North-East, with the result handing the club their sixth clean sheet.

Given the troubling conditions, the Villagers began the game in good spirit with Josh Whiteley troubling the host's defence from the wing.

Ferriby played some good football 15 minutes in as Lewis Dennison's deft pass through to Whiteley saw an opportunity to open the scoring, but a spate of last-ditch defending cut the Ferriby winger off.

Ben Bottomley's fine goalkeeping prowess was called in to action, as the hosts looked to get a foothold.

Ferriby found themselves with the best chance of the game midway through the half as Josh Thacker’s pinpoint cross from the left caught Whiteley a little off-guard only six yards out.
