Two new 'pocket parks' open with plans for more

TWO new pocket parks have been completed, Hull City Council has announced.

Located on Dingley Close in Orchard Park and one on Oak Road in Beverley and Newland, the land at both sites has been transformed and improved, now featuring new seating areas and planters.

John Pickles, the Postcode Gardener, has been supporting local residents at Dingley Close.

Together, they have put forward ideas and commuted to ongoing mainte-nance alongside the council, including watering newly planted trees, planting summer bulbs and weeding.

Improvements at the Oak Road pocket park have been led by The Residents Group, who played a key role in the park’s design.
