Tigers axe McGuire, Chester takes reins

DANNY McGuire has been sacked by Castleford Tigers after just nine months in charge.
McGuire was brought in ahead of the 2025 season and the Tigers have won four of their 18 games since he was promoted from assistant coach to replace Craig Lingard.
His final game was a defeat to Huddersfield Giants on Thursday, a defeat that left them 10th in the table.
Castleford have won just one of their last six games, a victory at a Hull FC side who haven't won a home fixture in 12 months.
