REPLYING to Peter Auty’s comment (Mail Box, June 5) about the “bee in my bonnet”: considering the frequency of his own letters, it seems he has a whole swarm in his.

I was genuinely surprised when Peter Auty clarified he isn’t a climate denier, as some of his letters have indicated otherwise.

However, I’m sure he’s underestimating the urgency of the climate emergency. This misunderstanding is perhaps fueled by poor communication from leadership and his preference for political groups and organisations in climate denial.
