MORTON REFLECTS ON TIME AT TIGERS
Tyler Morton admits he still has a huge amount of affection for Hull City, more than 18 months after his loan spell from Liverpool came to an end, with the player desperate for the Tigers to seal promotion.
Morton is plying his trade in Ligue 1 with French giants Lyon after leaving Anfield last summer.
He made quite an impression during the 2023-24 season when he played 41 times for the Tigers under Liam Rosenior, and still keeps close tabs on events at the MKM Stadium.
That squad, which featured Morton, Jacob Greaves, Jean Michael Seri, Jaden Philogene, Liam Delap and Fabio Carvalho, narrowly missed out on the Championship’s top six and was then broken up that summer, with all those players leaving, along with Rosenior, who has since taken over at Chelsea.
Morton quickly became a firm fan favourite at the MKM Stadium with his dynamic performances from midfield, and he says those days were when he was happiest.
"I finished my spell at Blackburn with a broken foot. I wanted to recover quickly because I wanted to go straight back out on loan, because that is where I felt like I was developing most.
