Returning to European fold better for all

PETER Auty (Mailbox, July 23) asserts a 90 per cent support for "Remain" - presumably meaning "Rejoin" given our departure from the European Union in January 2020.

I'd like to see the source for this figure; it contradicts numerous reputable surveys.

For instance, the “poll of polls” compiled by What UK Thinks, which aggregates data from various trustworthy organisations, currently shows Rejoin support at around 57 per cent versus 43 per cent for staying out. These figures stand in stark contrast to the 90 per cent claimed.
