Lewis' late magic seals stunning win for Rovers

Hull KR produced a stunning fightback to retain top spot in Super League, coming from behind to beat Leeds Rhinos 20-14.

- By MATT SHAW

Both teams were given controversial red cards in the second half but it was the Robins who prevailed, coming from 14-8 down to win after late tries from James Batchelor and Mikey Lewis.

This felt like a huge test for the Robins and it proved to be just that.

But as keeps proving to be the case, they found a way. They were up against it when Sauaso Sue was controversially red-carded but they got better from that point and got over the line. Don't say it too early, but that's the sign of a champion team.

Peters had a major selection call to make before the game with both his first-choice wingers unavailable and he ultimately decided to go for something of a makeshift three-quarter line. Peta Hiku went to wing and was partnered by Batchelor. Jack Broadbent was the other winger, accompanied by Oliver Gildart. The start of the game saw Rovers dominate territory. Jack Sinfield was sin-binned early for a high tackle on Arthur Mourgue and their ill-discipline saw the Robins spend most of the opening stages in Leeds' half.
