Final stage of £1.2m road improvement scheme

THE final stage of a road and footpath improvement scheme in East Yorkshire is due to begin next month.

East Riding Council is investing £400,000 to upgrade the road surface along West Green, between Canal Lane and Railway Street, in Pocklington, over the school holidays.
The scheme follows major work already carried out in Market Place, Market Square, Union Street and Railway Street.
The final phase of works is due to begin on Monday, July 21, with work being carried out on weekdays from 9am to 5pm. It is expected to last five weeks, weather permitting.
A schedule of the works has been released by the council and is as follows:
