HULL FC have confirmed another season-ending blow, with Ed Chamberlain ruled out for the rest of the year.

The 29-year-old has a hamstring tear, having limped off the field during last week's defeat to Leeds Rhinos.

Chamberlain is the eighth Hull player to suffer a season-ending injury, following on from Will Pryce (foot), Ligi Sao (knee), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), Liam Knight (foot), Will Hutchinson (ankle), and Roman Dawson (ACL).

Herman Ese'ese has also been ruled out with an Achilles rupture, while earlier this year, Oliver Holmes was forced into retirement after chronic knee issues.

Hull also have minor concerns with the likes of Liam Watts and Sam Eseh (both hamstring), while Cade Cust (back) has been doing it tough.

But while those three players are within a chance of featuring in Sunday's Hull derby against Hull KR, Chamberlain won't be seen again this year.
