Ryan Giles goes off injured at Middlesbrough

HULL City are expected to be without Ryan Giles for their 2026 curtain raiser against Stoke City at the MKM Stadium today.
Giles limped out of Monday night's 1-0 win at Middlesbrough with a hamstring problem after just five minutes and it's expected the inform fullback will not feature against the Potters.
City assistant boss Dean Holden said the club are awaiting the results of a scan to determine the extent of the damage to his hamstring.
It's understood Giles will not be involved and could likely face a spell on the sidelines as he recovers from the issue that saw him replaced by Cathal McCarthy.
Losing Giles for any length of time will come as another blow to Sergej Jakirovic, who continues to suffer bad luck with injuries to key players, as he has all season.
