Burglars invade home of pregnant woman and take off with her hospital bag

A HEAVILY pregnant mother was horrified when she was awoken by three men barging through her front door at 4am.

They stole perfume, aftershave, food, alcohol and her maternity bag with items she needed for when she went into labour.

The woman told how scared she was by the burglary ordeal at her Freeman Street flat in Grimsby.

Prosecuting at Grimsby Crown Court Daniel Ingham said it was only pure chance that two Humberside Police officers were outside in the street dealing with a motorcyclist without his helmet when they heard her screams.
