Bully who strangled girlfriend breaches his restraining order

JEALOUS MAN WARNED 'IT HAS TO STOP'
EMOTIONS were “running high” when a jealous bully strangled his girlfriend, leaving her slumped unconscious on the floor, after becoming obsessed by the idea that she was cheating on him.
Ronan Haller's violent behaviour had a serious effect on the woman and he has now been warned at Hull Crown Court that he faces being jailed if he puts her “safety and security” under further threat. He could not behave violently towards women and he was warned: “It has to stop.”
Haller, 26, of west Hull, admitted breaching a two-year restraining order imposed on November 21, 2023. The order was made after he admitted intentional strangulation of the woman on February 26, 2023, assaulting her, causing actual bodily harm, on April 23 of that year and again assaulting her on April 25, 2023.
Tonicha Allen, prosecuting, told an earlier hearing that Haller made a series of telephone calls to his ex-girlfriend on November 18 last year after she began dating a new boyfriend. While she was speaking to the police, he sent her an email saying: “I'm broken and I don’t know why you're treating me like this. I can’t cope any more.”

Regan Slater is on the cusp of a landmark occasion in his Hull City career, and it's a credit to his professionalism and dedication that he's once again become an influential part of Sergej Jakirovic's starting XI.
