MIKEY Lewis has credited rookie Bill Leyland for being the “game-changing” influence in their dramatic victory at Leeds.

Man of Steel Lewis, of course, raced in for the crucial 76th minute match-winning try on a bizarre night at Headingley.

That saw the Robins complete a remarkable turnaround from being 14-6 down to secure a thrilling 20-14 success.

But the England scrum-half reckoned Leyland, the young hooker making only his second Super League appearance - and first for KR - as the player who truly changed the course of a pulsating contest.

He joined from London Broncos in the off-season and made his top-flight bow off the bench for Huddersfield during a recent loan spell.
