Tributes to doctor who died after Eryri plunge

AN “incredibly talented” doctor died after falling from an Eryri mountain, despite her injured friend’s valiant attempts to save her.

Dr Charlotte Crook, 30, died after suffering a major head injury when she fell more than 30ft while descending Glyder Fach in Eryri on February 16.

Her friend, Adam Weatherhogg, suffered a broken arm while trying to reach his seriously injured friend, but continued to apply chest compressions for an hour despite having the use of only one arm, an inquest heard.

Sadly his efforts were in vain, and when members of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team reached the pair they confirmed Dr Crook had died.

Both were very experienced mountain walkers who were “well prepared”.
