Lifeboat's new searchlight helps in 2-hour rescue of cragfast climbers

TWO climbers got stuck on a 200ft Anglesey cliff - sparking a major rescue. The pair were on cliffs below Elin's Tower, near South Stack on Saturday.

They got into difficulty and found themselves cragfast - each at separate locations on the cliff. This triggered a rescue involving RNLI and Coastguard teams.
The response included new search lights on Holyhead RNLI's all-weather lifeboat. These paid dividends in helping safely locate and recover the climbers.
