1876 Board set to step down with approach to City Stadium to take over senior men's team

BANGOR City 1876's board announced last week they were set to step down in a major change as the club seeks to rebuild and bounce back to the Cymru North.

The decision was to be debated at the Fans Forum last night after The Mail went to press, with a final decision at next week's AGM.

A statement on the club's website, signed by chairman Glynne Roberts, explained the proposed change and the thinking behind it:

"The main item on the [Fans Forum] agenda will be the decision by the Board of Bangor City 1876 to step down at the forthcoming AGM. The Board believes that the next logical step in the Club's progression is to formally approach Bangor City Stadium with a proposal to take over full responsibility for the senior men's team, ahead of the 2025/26 season.
