RBI okays ICICI Bank CEO reappointment

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday approved the reappointment of ICICI Bank chief executive Sandeep Bakshi for three years, the bank said in a regulatory filing.

In October, the bank's boardm approved Bakshi's reappointment, which was accepted by shareholders last month.
"RBI has approved the reappointment of Sandeep Bakhshi as managing director and chief executive officer of the bank with effect from October 4 till October 3, 2026. At the annual general meeting held on August 30, the shareholders had already approved the appointment of Bakhshi for the above-mentioned period," said the filing.
