Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday slammed the INDIA bloc, accusing the Opposition grouping of trying to build “corridors for infiltrators” as the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) stepped up the attack against the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led Opposition on the final day of campaigning for the second phase of Bihar polls.

Oppn trying to build 'corridors for infiltrators’ in Bihar: Shah

Addressing rallies in Sasaram and Arwal constituencies, Shah said that Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will not let the “infiltrators rule”. “The infiltrators want to take away the jobs of the youth. Rahul and Tejashwi started a tour to save them. But, we will drive out every single infiltrator,” he said.

The senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said the “Opposition’s vote bank politics has led them to make attempts for building a ghuspetiya (infiltrator) corridor, unlike [Prime Minister] Narendra Modi, who is setting up an industrial corridor”.

Shah said that his alliance did not need the votes of infiltrators and the government would be formed in Bihar with the support of the state’s youth and Jeevika Didis (women who work as community mobilisers for various schemes).
