HC Rejects Govt Move Cancelling Swain's OCI Card

The Delhi high court on Friday set aside the Centre's order cancelling the overseas citizenship of India (OCI) card of Indian-born Swedish academician Ashok Swain.

NEW DELHI:
Justice Sachin Datta gave the verdict on a plea filed by Swain challenging the government's July 30, 2023 order. "The order dated July 30, 2023 is set aside. The authorities are at liberty to issue a fresh show cause notice," Justice Datta held.
