Dwarka set to get India's longest golf course on Dec 18

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to inaugurate the country's longest golf course in Dwarka's Sector 24 on December 18, with lieutenant governor (LG) VK Saxena scheduled to preside over the event, officials aware of the matter said.
Spanning a total length of 7,377 yards and covering an area of 159 acres, the 18-hole golf course also features a separate nine-hole course for short plays.
Officials said the facility, initially accommodating 2,000 members, will begin accepting applications this week, with provisions for diplomatic and corporate memberships.
During a visit on Tuesday, Saxena reviewed the progress and arrangements for the course, which aims to be a world-class facility.
"Dwarka's locational advantages make it a favourable option for diplomats. Many corporates also have bulk flats in Dwarka. For such groups, we will have special membership options. This is going to be a world class facility for the people of Delhi," said an official from the LG secretariat.
