A film about soulmates with no soul

When he calls it quite a story, she corrects him, “Story nahi, legend. Isme seekh chhupi hoti hai.” The only seekh I carried home was that romantic comedies are hard to make and even harder to perform if there's no conviction.

For weeks, the film's buzz was built around its promise to bring back the Sonu Nigam era of romantic ballads. Pardesiya, to be fair, isa catchy track with nostalgic charm. But the film does not come close to the breezy rom-coms of the past that we fondly remember.
