Maiyan Samman Fraud Busted: FIR Against 2

Gomia police have registered an FIR against two residents of Uttar Dinajpur district in West Bengal for fraudulently availing themselves of the benefits under Jharkhand's ambitious Maiyan Samman scheme by creating multiple fake identities.

DHANBAD:

The FIR, lodged on a complaint by Subhash Chandra Mahto, in-charge assistant of the Social Security Wing of Gomia Block, reveals a large-scale scam involving forged documents and identity manipulation.

According to the complaint, one of the accused, Yousuf from Pattagoda, Badakhoti (Uttar Dinajpur), allegedly used 13 fake identities to claim benefits from 13 different locations under the scheme.
