Maha chaos as hordes rush to board trains for Kumbh

Railway stations in Bihar under East Central Railway (ECR) faced a huge rush of passengers ahead of the next Amrit Snan in the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, UP, on February 12.
PATNA:
At Madhubani station of Samastipur rail division falling under East Central Railways (ECR), things got out of hand on Monday evening, when a group of angry people vandalised Delhi-bound 12561 Swatantrata Senani Express train at Madhubani railway station late on Monday evening, pelting stones and shattering windows after being unable to board the overcrowded train. The incident caused significant damage, with shattered glass falling onto passengers inside the train.
The incident also raises concerns over railway security, especially during major religious events like the Mahakumbh Mela.
