Congress will take appropriate action based on our investigation and the responses received from the accused people. RAKESH SINHA, Party leader
DHANBAD: The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) formed a three-member panel, which visited Dhanbad on Saturday to investigate the alleged assault on journalists by family members of the party's acting district president, Rashid Raza Ansari at a protest earlier this week, people familiar with the matter said.
The committee, formed under the direction of state Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, includes state general secretary Rakesh Sinha, social media in-charge Gajendra Singh, and media committee in-charge Satish Pal Munjani. Party insiders said the team met with the victim journalists at the Dhanbad Press Club and recorded detailed accounts of the incident.
