Ask any of Anurag Basu’s actors if they were given a script for any of his films and the answer has always been: “He has a unique style of working.” Off record, however, they tell us, “The script is in his head, we go with dada’s vision.”
Replete with colourful, brightly-lit frames and chaos that ties together beautifully, Metro In Dino is a window into the director's imagination. While Jagga Jasoos (2017) was an experiment that didn’t quite land, Anurag’s latest is perhaps his gutsiest yet — the music doesn’t just compliment the story, it is the story.
