Anti-Waqf Act rally sees united opposition in Bihar's Kishanganj

A large public meeting under the banner of 'Waqf Protection Movement' was held in Bihar's most populous Muslim district Kishanganj, on Sunday when opposition leaders and people from various non-political (Muslim) organisations stood unitedly to protest the Act at Lahra Chowk ground adjacent to West Bengal, which witnessed violence in the wake of Waqf (Amended) Act.

Ahmad Wali Faisal Rahmani, an Islamic scholar and religious leader who is also eighth Ameer-e-Shariat of Imarat-e-Shariah, an Islamic organisation operating in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha who also participated in it, made a fiery speech to register a protest against the Act.
