Vasundhara pulls up state officials over water woes

Former chief minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje reprimanded officials over the drinking water crisis in the Jhalawar district.

In a rare public outburst targeting her own party's administration, the senior BJP leader took to social media to lash out at officials over the worsening water crisis in the district.

Raje, who was in Raipur town on Tuesday, encountered angry residents grappling with severe water shortages. Disturbed by their complaints, she reprimanded local officials and demanded immediate remedial action.

Taking to social media platform X, Raje posted two scathing messages on Tuesday night that have since stirred political waters across the state.

"Don't the people feel thirsty? Or is it just the officials? The public is suffering in this heat while officials remain satisfied. Water must reach people's lips, not stay in files. Officials are asleep, people are weeping. I won't allow this to continue," she wrote.
