ACB raids premises of JDA official in graft case

THE JDA ENGINEER HAD ACQUIRED ASSETS OF OVER ₹6.25 CR, WHICH IS 253% MORE THAN HIS INCOME
JAIPUR: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday conducted raids at seven places in Jaipur including in the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) office after it found that its executive engineer Avinash Sharma had assets of over ₹6.25 crore, which is 253% more than his income.
Director general of the ACB Ravi Prakash Meharda said: "The officer was on our radar for the last few months after we received a complaint against him from an individual. During our preliminary investigation, we found him acquiring over ₹6.25 crore of assets, which is 253% more than his income, since his appointment in the service. However, the amount might go up."
