Red Chillies opposes Wankhede's plea; latter rejects defence

In the latest development amid the ongoing defamation case filed by Sameer Wankhede, the makers of The B***ds of Bollywood told the Delhi High Court that his claim is "wholly misconceived" and "devoid of merit".

The Netflix series, created and directed by Aryan Khan, premiered in September and is described as a dark satire on the Hindi film industry. Wankhede, who led the 2021 cruise-drug raid that resulted in Aryan's arrest before he was later cleared in 2022, filed a ₹2 crore defamation suit earlier this month.
