Cabinet nod to ₹2,960-cr projects promised by CM

The state cabinet on Friday approved as many as 21 schemes costing around ₹2,960 crore, which were announced by chief minister Nitish Kumar during his visit to various districts in course of his 2nd phase of Pragati Yatra.

PATNA: Along with them, 34 other projects, including re-construction of abandoned airport at Raxaul, were also cleared by the cabinet at its meeting chaired by the chief minister.

Briefing news persons after the meeting, additional chief secretary (cabinet) S Siddharth said that the government gave its administrative sanction to the tourism department's proposal of building Lav-Kush eco tourism park at Valmikinagar area of West Champaran at the cost of ₹51.54 crore. Valmikinagar tiger reserve in the districts has of late seen an impressive surge in tourists.
