After Shah Visit, Upbeat BJP Gears Up for Modi

Those who cannot see positive change in Bihar in terms of all-round development should be ready to see the reality in election. NITYANAND RAI, Union MoS
PATNA: Home minister Amit Shah's arrival in Bihar immediately after the end of the Budget session of the Bihar Legislature and his string of meetings, including one with the BJP core committee and one with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders is being viewed as a clear signal that he means business as the state heads for Assembly elections later this year.
After Saturday-Sunday meetings, the BJP is buoyed up. As a senior leader put it, Shah has made it clear that the party leaders should fan out for a powerful buildup with the twin objective of highlighting the development work being carried out under PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, under whom the NDA would go to polls, and remind the people of the "horror days" of the RJD regime prior to 2005.
"We have our task cut out. Shah's emphasis was on strengthening the booths by working at the grassroots level and work with a mindset of cohesive NDA. The NDA will go into election as one to send a clear message across. The HM's visit was the first of many more in the coming months, as he is focussed on Bihar, and there will also be visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said a senior BJP leader not wishing to be quoted.
