On bail, man accused of molestation sets victim’s husband afire

Three family members, including a molestation accused out on bail, have been remanded in police custody in Maharashtra’s Nanded district after allegedly setting the victim’s husband ablaze, police said
The husband is currently hospitalised with severe burn injuries and his condition remains critical, police said. The attack took place early on December 29 in Bendri village in Naigaon tehsil, hours after the main accused was released on bail.
According to the police, the main accused, Santosh Madhavrao Bendrikar, had been booked by the Naigaon police on December 22 for allegedly molesting a neighbour.
