Was dragged for 500m: Cops
NEW DELHI: A 19-year-old Delhi University (DU) student, who distributed newspapers every morning on his cycle in the Rohini area in order to make ends meet, was killed in a hit-and-run after an unknown vehicle mowed him down and dragged his body for around 500m before fleeing, police said.
The deceased was identified as Rishal Singh, a first-year BA student at the School of Open Learning. Police said he was killed on Saturday morning on KN Katju Marg, adding that CCTV cameras in the area were non-functional, which means they are in the dark about the offending vehicle.
