994 Waqf properties illegally encroached upon, govt tells Parl

TAMIL NADU HAD THE MAXIMUM ALIENATED WAQF PROPERTIES WITH 734, FOLLOWED BY ANDHRA WITH 152
NEW DELHI: A total of 994 Waqf properties have been reported as alienated or illegally encroached upon across the country, with Tamil Nadu alone accounting for maximum 734 such properties, the Union government informed Parliament on Monday.
