Modi to visit RSS headquarters today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will visit the RSS headquarters Hedgewar Smruti Bhawan in Nagpur on Sunday, will also pay homage to Dr BR Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi.

Modi's arrival in Nagpur on Sunday coincides with the RSS "Pratipada" programme, marking the beginning of Hindu New Year, and Gudi Padwa — the Marathi New Year. The PM will also visit Smruti Mandir to pay homage to the founding fathers of the RSS, following which, he will visit Deekshabhoomi and pay homage to Dr BR Ambedkar, officials familiar with the matter said. The memorials of Hedgewar and MS Golwalkar, the second Sarsanghchalak of the RSS, are at the Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in the Reshimbagh area of Nagpur.
