Calls for boycotting Turkish goods and tourism gain steam

NEW DELHI: Amid strained ties between India and Pakistan, calls for boycotting Turkish goods, services and tourism continue to grow louder in the wake of New Delhi's military confrontation with Pakistan.

Ties between India and Turkey have come under significant strain after the latter condemned Operation Sindoor — India's military response to the Pahalgam terror attack — and extended diplomatic and military support to Pakistan. The defence ministry also indicated that Pakistan used Turkish-made drones to attack targets in India during the four-day clash.
