Will Implement Laws To Curb Conversions And Riots: Dhami

The government is committed towards implementing anti-conversion law and anti-riot law in the state, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Friday.
DEHRADUN:
After inaugurating the "Uttarayan Kautik fair" organised by Kumaon Cultural Upliftment Forum in Khatima in US Nagar, Dhami said that the state government was committed to preserve the cultural values and demography of Uttarakhand, along with implementing anti-conversion law and anti-riot law in the state.
"Strict action has been ensured against hateful mentality like 'land jihad' and 'spit-jihad'. Along with this, the historic work of making the law of Uniform Civil Code for the first time in the country has also been done, which will be implemented from this month, not only this, now the outsiders buying land in the state are being thoroughly investigated, if any person is found violating the rules, then his plot is being vested in government property," he said.
