Pradeep Sharma seeks Param Bir's statements

Former encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma has moved a special National Investigation Agency court, urging it to direct the agency to submit the statements of former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh and former ACP Avinash Dharmadhikari in connection with the 2021 murder case of Thane trader Mansukh Hiran.
MUMBAI:
Sharma, who is facing prosecution for his alleged role in the Hiran murder case, claimed that he has come to know that Singh in his statement to NIA had said that their meetings (involving Singh, Sharma and co-accused Sachin Waze) on February 28, 2021, and March 2, 2021, were regarding the Suresh Pujari gang and had nothing to do with the Thane trader's murder.
