Efforts by Mizoram-based NGOs and representatives of the state government to mediate peace between rival pro-democracy groups from ‘Myanmar's Chin State remain stalled, with no significant progress achieved so far.
The Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA) announced on Sunday that the Chin Defence Force and the Chinland National Defence Force agreed to a temporary ceasefire.
However, the truce was broken just a day later.
