There are many areas in Uttarakhand with immense investment potential

Uttarakhand is known as 'Devbhoomi' and has immense tourism potential. There is huge scope for investment in areas such as Char Dham Yatra, adventure tourism, wildlife tourism, yoga and wellness tourism, and destination weddings. The government has also launched special schemes to encourage tourism entrepreneurs.

Destination Wedding: Emphasis is being placed on establishing Uttarakhand as a destination for weddings, which will increase tourism revenue.

Adventure Tourism: Investment in adventure sports like trekking, river rafting, and skiing can attract tourists.

Wellness Tourism: Uttarakhand is an ideal place for yoga, Ayurveda, and naturopathy, where there are investment opportunities in wellness resorts and centers.

New Tourism Policies: Policies like the 'Uttarakhand Tourism Entrepreneur Promotion Scheme-2024' have been implemented by the state government to encourage investment in the tourism sector.

AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE

Despite being a hilly state, Uttarakhand has a rich base of agriculture and horticulture. Investment in organic farming, cultivation of medicinal plants, processing of fruits and vegetables, floriculture, and development of herbal products can increase farmer's income.
