Day after Dalit girl's death in Kasganj, missing sister found

A day after the body of a 12-year-old Dalit girl was found hanging at her house at Nagla Hansi village under Sikandarpur Vaishya police station limits of Kasganj district on Saturday morning, her 14-year-old sister, earlier reported missing, was recovered by the police from Soron town of the district on Sunday.

Police, who are investigating the death of the younger sister, claimed to have detained half-a-dozen people, including one Bablu named in the FIR.
"The missing elder sister (14) has been recovered from the Soron area in Kasganj. The accused named Bablu is in police custody and legal compliance is on. A few others are being detained," said additional superintendent of police (ASP) Rakesh Bharti talking to HT on Sunday.
