Two Handlers Have Been Assigned the Charge of the Main Entrance of the Parliament Estate That Top Ministers Use
NEW DELHI: From a new building with state-of-the-art facilities to a paperless and greener complex, Indian Parliament has seen a major transformation in recent years. One issue, however, continues to challenge the authorities: monkey menace.
To tackle the challenge of the rambunctious simians, Lok Sabha authorities have roped in a total of nine ape handlers, with each being assigned a designated area to oversee.
An internal circular issued by Lok Sabha officials on May 27 has provided details on how to contact these handlers on an emergency basis.
