According to the World Health Organization report, mental health conditions are among the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents.

Yet, most education policies still treat emotional well-being as secondary something to be managed after grades, scores, and college lists. It's time we gently but decisively realigned our priorities to place student well-being at the heart of education.
