Valley sees more rain, mercury plunges 9 degrees below normal

As rains continued in Kashmir for the third day, the meteorological centre in Srinagar has predicted more wet weather for the coming week.
Incessant light to moderate rains lashed Kashmir throughout the day further bringing down the temperatures in the region.
The MeT said that Srinagar recorded a rainfall of 9.1 mm during the day with maximum temperature settling at 21 degree celsius, some 9.1 degrees below normal.
The highest rainfall was recorded in the weather monitoring station of Gulmarg in north Kashmir at 17.6 mm with mercury plunging to 15 degree celsius, some 6.2 degrees below normal.
